Factory is reborn as South Orange Commerce Center

orange-commercial-construction-companies-07

Project Profile: South Orange Commerce Center construction management –

South Orange Commerce Center was once a 50,000 metal building used for boat manufacturing. Its developer wanted it converted into eight retail/office spaces. The 3.5-acre lot needed complete site work, but the metal building was converted into a thriving plaza.

The facility required a complete gutting and custom build out of four of the eight units. In addition, CAM Contracting did a custom build out a 5,000 square foot gun range adjacent to the main building.

The project was completed on time and within budget.

Project Scope

  • Convert existing 50,000 square foot warehouse into eight separate retail spaces
  • New three-phase electric service
  • New plumbing
  • Underground fire sprinklers
  • Framing
  • Drywall installation

Unique Challenge

The warehouse was a timeworn building. It’s state resulted in many unforeseen issues such as hazardous waste disposal. New electric and plumbing were required throughout the facility, resulting in extensive site work.

The Solution

CAM worked with the developer, architect and Orange County Building Department to keep everything on track as well as on schedule during all phases of construction. Conscientiously paying attention to detail made this project, with many potential pitfalls, a success.

Pine Castle Christian Academy was a quick creation

commercial-construction-companies-118

Project Profile: Pine Castle Christian Academy building remodeling –

The PCCA commercial construction project is one we are most proud of bringing to a successful conclusion. The site for the school was originally a Darden Restaurants testing school. After Pine Castle Christian Academy had purchased the property, they had 110 days to convert the facility before the school year started.

The floorplans for two buildings had to be modified to accommodate a new 1st thru 12th-grade education space. At the beginning of the process, the administration had no plans, permits or fire protection system.

CAM Contracting completed the 46,000 square foot build out with four days to spare, allowing the school year to start on time. It was a real test of our skills as one of Orlando’s best general contractors. We think we passed with flying colors.

Project Scope

  • Convert vacant 50,000 square foot office/training center building into a K-12 school
  • Relocate five structural beams in the central hallway
  • Update electrical, plumbing, and HVAC to meet current code
  • Resize most rooms
  • Install new flooring, doors, and ceiling tiles
  • Paint interior and exterior

Unique Challenge

CAM Contracting only had 110 days to complete the entire project and had to acquire a change of usage classification certificate.

The Solution

With a lot of hustle, extra hours, prayer, and hard work we completed one our most challenging projects with time to spare. It was a learning experience for everyone involved.

If you are looking for a reliable and honest contractor, look no further than CAM Contracting, LLC! Dave Seip, the owner, uses the highest quality of professionalism, materials, and sub-contractors to insure a superb job without the inflated cost. We had CAM Contracting install wood flooring throughout our house, including our staircase. Due to poor construction from the original builder, each stair was a different width and depth. Although the job was very tedious, Dave and his sub-contractor, also named Dave, took the time to measure each stair and the results are not only amazing but beautiful as well. I highly recommend CAM Contracting! Sincerely,

Thank you so much for taking care of all the things that needed fixing at our house. Replacing the ballast in the kitchen lights, replacing a leaky valve, replacing part of the flooring, installing flood lights, de-gunking and painting the patio floor...whew, so much needed to be done. You did an efficient, clean, and excellent job! We will definitely use your services again and recommend CAM Contracting to others!

Dean Eaton Plant/ Facilities Manager

David Seip, and his company, has provided excellent service to us and our facility at Regal Marine Industries, a privately held luxury performance boat company located on an 88 acre campus in South Orlando. With his extraordinary leadership qualities, he has provided us with high quality workmanship on our buildings, drop ceilings, roofing, concrete work, landscaping, painting, and electrical to name just a few. David Seip is a hard-working self-starter who invariably understands exactly what a project is all about, from the outset, and how to get it done quickly and effectively. During the past four years that he has done work for us, he has often brought projects in on budget, and a few were even completed ahead of schedule. In closing, as detailed above, based on my experience working with him, I can unreservedly recommend CAM Contracting and David Seip to meet your needs and expectations.
